Partners
NMD partners are organizations that agree to support the day through promotion, advertisements, and/or by supplying materials or services to marinas holding NMD events. If your organization is interested in partnering, please contact us.
National Marina Day 2011 partners include:
- American Recreation Coalition: This group coordinates National Get Outdoors Day (June 12) and is helping to promote National Marina Day as a partner event. You can go to the Get Outdoors Day website to register your event and gain more exposure for your marina.
- BoatUS: BoatUS is helping to promote National Marina Day to their boaters and member marinas.
- Discover Boating: This group is helping to promote National Marina Day.
- Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation: The group coordinates National Recreational Fishing and Boating Week which culminates on June 12. They are helping to promote National Marina Day as a partnering event. You can list your event on their website to gain more exposure for your marina.
- State Marine Trades Associations: State MTA”s have been valuable to us in helping to promote the day to their member marinas and promote local events. Call your local MTA and see if they can assist you. Often MTA’s have given materials to participating marinas, had staff attend events, and even helped organize events. - State Clean Marina programs: These programs have been valuable to us in helping to promote the day to their certified facilities. Call you state clean marina program and see how they can assist you. Often they can send materials on clean boating tips, the clean marina program and more. They have been known to attend events and set up booths where possible. Click here for a list of CM programs.
- US Power Squadron: This group can provide materials on their boater education classes, boating safety, and vessel safety checks. Contact the group nearest you to see if they are able to set up a booth at your event.
- ValvTect Marine Fuels: distributes free trophies to interested marinas to present to boaters that have traveled the farthest to attend each NMD marina’s event. Click here for application and info.
- Wear It: This campaign can provide materials on boating safety and lifejacket wear for your event. Click here for more information.
